Easter Crafts Ideas - How To Make an Easter Tree
I know, I know. You may be thinking "What? An Easter Tree? Is she crazy?" OK, yes I'm crazy but that's beside the point. The Easter Tree is still a neat idea.
How To Make An Easter Tree
Materials Needed:
One branch (yes...you'll have to go outside) Try to make sure it has quite a few small branches coming from it.
Pot for planting your branch (size of pot will depend on size of branch)
Plaster of Paris
Desired Crafting Supplies for creating ornaments
Mix the plaster of paris and pour into your chosen pot. Pour until plaster is about 1 inch from the top of the pot. Place your branch in the pot and try to prop the branch against something so that it will stay straight until the plaster of paris dries.
Now this is where the creativity comes in. If you are doing this with kids then allow them to create Easter ornaments by making Easter eggs or other Spring embellishments out of construction paper and hanging the ornaments on the tree with yarn.
If this is more for adults then you may want to get more creative by covering styrofoam shaped eggs in spring time fabric and hanging on the tree. Also, you can buy wooden and paper mache eggs at most craft stores, and paint them as desired.
This Easter tree could be as big or small as you like. If you wanted to make a bunch of small Easter trees then just buy small pots and use smaller branches.
